After a busy weekend with the farm hosting my brother’s 40th Birthday Party (mini festival), we have a manic week ahead.  Party went really well, very lucky to grab a very rare few hours of dry weather, happy campers and partiers, helped by several tonnes of woodchip over the mud.

This week we are moving one of the chicken houses to a new field, always hectic and tense operation, so fingers crossed.  We are also putting roof on our latest new chicken house, a job we have been waiting to do for several weeks as it can only be done on a dry and non windy day (a very rare thing this summer).  We will then be putting a new flock of young hens in whichever house is finished the sooner, nothing like adding to the pressure.  Also need to be cutting and making silage if it is actually dry, plus our normal full week of looking after hens and eggs!

We will keep you posted on how it all goes!
